Customization guide


This section is meant for UI developer and graphic designers who want to customize the look and feel of the mobchannel plugin management system. If you are a plugin developer then please refer the extension guide in this document. Currently we allow three levels of customization, should you require advance help in customizing, please seek the assistance of our community by sending a mail to mobchannel-users@lists.sourceforge.net . The template customization


The tiles template layer relies on three template layouts defined in /jsp/common/templates There are three layouts which you can change by editing the layout jsp files 1)Simple layout is a three row , banner , body ,footer project
2)Classic layout is a three row layout with the middle main content area further divided into a leftpane,center pane and a right pane.
3)The standard layout is a three row layout with the middle main content ares subdivided into a main area and a side pane. You can change the layout files inorder to create a new layour or create altogether new layouts and assign the new layout to pages defined in the tiles definition file. The tiles definition files are available in the WEB-INF/modules for each modules.

CSS Styling Customization


CSS styles are defined in the css files available at /css in the WebRoot directory. You can alter the css to change the appearance of html elements in the final page.

Output HTML Customization


The html is being generated in the .jsp files available in the /jsp folder. The clear demarcation between markup and data using jstl will enable easy customization of html to change the look and feel of your portal.
